Hi, add to cart event is not firing on my website for several months. Can you please provide some information on how I can debug the issue, unfortunately in Pinterest dashboard there’s no information at all, only error icon.
I tried inspecting tag work with the Pinterest Tag Helper plugin but when I hit add to cart button there’s no information in plugin tab, only successful events are shown there.

    Hi @titsmaker ,

I’m sorry to hear that the ‘Add to Cart’ event isn’t firing on your website.

To start, have you confirmed that the Pinterest tag is correctly installed on your site? You can use the Pinterest Tag Helper extension to verify its presence and functionality.

If the Pinterest dashboard shows only an error icon with no additional information, could you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing? This will help us better understand the issue. If you don’t have a screenshot tool, Snipboard.io is a quick and easy option. Additionally, let us know when the issue started—was it after recent updates or changes to your site?

Please note there was a similar issue in the past, but it was resolved over a year ago. You can review it here: GitHub Issue #793.

To assist further, could you confirm the version of the Pinterest plugin you’re using? It would also be helpful to review your current System Status Report. You can find this in your WooCommerce dashboard under WooCommerce > Status. From there, click Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it into a code block in your reply or use Pastebin and share the link with us.

    Looking forward to your response!

As I mentioned in original message I used Pinterest?Tag?Helper?extension to check tag health and it showed no issues. It registered some other successful events but nothing on add to cart.
As for the dashboard I already temporarily solved the issue by deactivating AJAX add to cart and letting the tag to register several add to cart events. But anyway such a screenshot would not add anything – there was error text in red in corresponding section of tag health screen.
I am using the latest Pinterest plugin version (1.4.12). WC is also updated to the latest version (9.4.2).
I don’t want to provide information from WC status page here as it contains too much sensible data and most probably won’t give you any clue to what’s happening, if you want to investigate further I can provide such data in private messaging. Also I suppose that what you should ask first is “what AJAX add to cart plugin or theme with such functionality are you using”? As this AJAX add to cart code is causing issues, so either AJAX code or your plugin code is to blame. When I switch off AJAX add to cart the event is registered just fine.

    Hello titsmaker,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you please share the website URL so I can check it from my end?
It is possible that AJAX is causing the issue, once you share the URL I can inspect it in more detail.

I understand you do not want to share site information here.
Please note that there is no option for private messaging.
It would be helpful if you could share a list of all active plugins and the active theme.

Looking forward to your response. ??

As I wrote earlier I don’t want to share all this information here, is it possible to contact plugin’s support via woocommerce.com or otherwise?

I understand your concern about privacy. Unfortunately, WooCommerce.com doesn’t directly provide support for free plugins. Our Happiness Engineers do provide support for these plugins in their respective forums.

Should you wish to share the information discreetly, you can use https://quickforget.com/ and set the timer to a longer period so that one of our agents can be able to access it.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
