    Hi,

My store’s add to cart button takes a long time to process and add the product to the cart.

How can I be faster, practically instantaneous, when the user clicks on buy?

    Thanks

    Hi there ??

As a first step, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Additionally, in terms of optimizing for speed, you’ll want to take a closer look at the following resources:

    Hi there,

is it possible to share system status any other way?
I would not like to share it with everyone with access to the post.

The other points, the site is rated C in the GT metrix and even showing a considerable performance.
The big issue is the processing time of the add to cart button.

    the site is: https://lojadofabricante.com

    Thanks.

    Hi @wbbrito,

I understand your point but I must say it’s generally safe to share the System Status. Some users prefer to hide their site’s URL but I can see you’ve mentioned it in your reply.

I gave a quick test by going to your product page and clicking the “Add to Cart” button and noticed a slight delay of 5-7 seconds.

In general, the values you could try increasing would be the memory_limit and max_execution_time – you can check the following article for more details on how to increase those variables.

    https://wpmudev.com/blog/increase-memory-limit/

I also checked your website via pingdom:

    https://tools.pingdom.com/

And it seems like the server takes around 5 seconds to establish an initial connection. You could try deactivating plugins and check if the speed improves but in general if the server-side is slow even after deactivating plugins, then it’s something you’ll have to bring to your hosting provider’s attention.

You could also try the following plugin which should help specifically to improve performance for websites with WooCommerce:

Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
