Hello, I have a few related products that need to have variables answered before they are able to be added to our customer’s cart. It works in the related products section to click on the image or description to take my customer to the product page to complete the variables. The issue is when they click the “Add to Cart” button it shows an error because they have not completed the variable info. Is there any way to remove the “Add to Cart” button to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

    Hi @infoplast ,

    Greetings from WebToffee Support,

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the issue you’re experiencing. We would like to clarify that by default, the WooCommerce and Related Products – Product Recommendations for WooCommerce plugins do not provide an “Add to Cart” button for variable products in the related products widget. Instead, they display a “Select Options” button, which, when clicked, redirects users to the product page where they can select the variation and add the product to the cart.

To better understand the issue you are experiencing, please provide us with a screen recording illustrating the problem. This will help us diagnose and address the issue more effectively.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi @infoplast ,

We haven’t heard back from you, so in the meantime, our team has developed a code snippet to hide the ‘Add to Cart’ button from the related products widget.

To apply this change, please copy the code snippet provided here and add it to your active theme’s functions.php file. You can do this by navigating to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Editor > functions.php. Alternatively, you can use a Code Snippet plugin for easier implementation.

Please try out this code snippet and let us know if it resolves the issue. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out.
