• Hi, I need your help with the issue that I have on the website which was created by some other person (this person disappeared) and now I’ve installed WooCommerce there and trying to make it work. That person created his own theme for this website so the issue is connected to that.

The problem is that “Add to cart” button is not working on the product page (meaning – when you click on the button nothing is happening). It works at the archive page but not in the product itself. When I’m changing the theme to TwentyNineteen for example – everything is perfect. I tried to find the issue in the theme but failed, I don’t see the problem. Plugins are not involved in the problem, I disabled them and it didn’t help, it’s 100% the theme that was developed by some person before me.

Please please help me, what can cause this problem in the theme?

P.S. The website is in Russian but it shouldn’t be a problem, add to cart button is “В корзину”.

    Best regards,
    Olga

    Hi there,

It seems like a JavaScript error that blocks the Add to cart action.

Though I don’t see any errors in the console, I’d try disabling the scripts from the theme one by one to see which one caused the issue. Enabling the debug log would also help you see if there’s any fatal errors.

You might want to hire a developer to help with troubleshooting the theme, check out our recommendations here: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

Thank you so much! I was thinking that it is a JavaScript error but didn’t know how to check it. Found one JS file that blocked the process. Thank you for your answer, it was very helpful! Have a good day!
    Best wishes,
    Olga
