• Hiya,

Firstly, thanks for the great plugin!

Secondly, I realise there are limited resources for further development, but I was just wondering if there was a way to show the image map area title on overlay?

This is where I’m using the plugin: https://mittenson.com/homepage-splash/ – the aim is for it to eventually be the homepage of the site, with the squares linking through to different sections of the website, but ideally for that to be user-friendly we’d like to show the link titles on mouse-over.

I’m reasonably confident with CSS, less so with php and not really at all with js, although I am able to edit php / js files without breaking the site! I’m at a bit of a loss as to how to go about doing this, though – if it’s possible within the current plugin – so if anyone is able to help me out with the code I’d be hugely grateful.

No worries if not, but I just thought it was worth asking!

    Cheers ??

    Hi Cogdiss,

You can add mouseover text by going to ‘Image map areas’ in your WordPress Admin then go to ‘All Image map areas’. Click on the first one in the list to edit it then you will see on the bottom right hand side a section that says ‘Settings’. Put the text you want to appear on mouse hover in here then Update it. You will need to do it for each one then.

    Hope that helps

    Cheers
