    Hello,

    My usercase is the following:

I need to create buttons within a plugin generating a shortcode which include a small disclaimer underneath them so that I can update the disclaimer within the plugin whenever that’s needed.

For example, I’d have to have buttons to an online broker on my pages with the compliance disclaimer informing readers that 70% of their users lose money trading CFDs on their platform.

This % can change overtime and would need to be updated. Also, the whole disclaimer can be subject to changes due to compliance reasons and having the chance to update it in the same place where I can edit the button styling and text would be a gamechanger.

Can you please add this feature and/or give me instructions on how to achieve this with your plugin?

    Thanks,
    Giovanni.

This sounds like something you want to solve with some code snippet. Not something that a button plugin should be offering.

Allow me to partially disagree with this, Bas.

I see your point and that is definitely the most viable solution for now, however I am sure you know that an author/editor doesn’t necessarily have to know coding.

I am no expert in creating WordPress plugin but if adding an editable text box underneath a button on your plugin is easy then think how many new potential users you could reach with that. You could also add it as a Pro feature and get more paying users thanks to that.

I work in the trading and gambling niches and I can assure you that compliance is becoming the issue nr.1 for editors.

That’s generally the case. Every niche has it’s own need for a little extra outside of strictly making buttons.

If we would add all those, the plugin would have hundreds more options and nobody would use it because it then becomes ‘too complex’.

Luckily the plugin is very flexible, so those extra’s can easily be accomplished.
