add summary and article link?

I’m looking to possibly use wordpress as a CMS for a news site.

There is one principal thing I need to be able to do and I dont think wordpress does it by default.

Why I add a post, I need to be able to enter a summary and then the body of the post. Once it gets posted to the site, it will automatically include a link to the full article that has been stored locally on the site.

Is this something I can get wordpress to do by default, or is it a hack I would have to add?
Additionally, has anyone already done this AND if so, where can I get the info on how to do it?
