Add subscriber as co-author

    Is it possible to allow admins/editors to add subscribers as co-authors to a post? Currently, a user has to be elevated to at least a contributor to be able to be selected as a co-author. Thanks!

    Allowing a subscriber to become a co-author would require to overwrite the underlying user permissions, which can lead to security problems. That’s why the plugin is using the default WordPress permissions which, as you mentioned, requires at least the contributor role to be able to become a co-author.
