Add source to selection sharer to drive traffic

  • The selection sharer simply shares the text that has been selected to Twitter/LinkedIn or email.

    This is pretty cool, but very limited.

    If you can add variables in the settings so that you can include “post-name” etc when sharing, then it will work to drive traffic back to the web page.

    All you can do now is share the text and include your Twitter handle, but this doesn’t share the source and so doesn’t drive traffic back to website.

    Hey SJDSocial,

    what exactly do you mean with include post-name? If someone select a lot of text or even just a little there is little to no space within the 140 characters to share it on Twitter. The source is the URL which is always included with the text being shared, or is this not working for you?
