Add slider to the index page only?

  • I’m trying to add a slider to my index page only. I’ve looked at a couple of other threads about this and it doesn’t seem to be explained out well (isn’t stated what .php file the codes go in, etc.) or the threads are several years old.

    Basically I want to add the slider above my posts on the main page, and not have it show up on any other page other than the index page.

    Is this possible? Thanks.

    Sure, that’s possible. But how you do it depends on what theme you are using and where exactly on the page it needs to go. What theme are you using?
