Add sidebar in product catalog

  • Hi guys!

    I’m trying to put left sidebar with a widget in my free Sydney Theme, but the widget doesn’t appear in the widgets list in the Customize > Widgets (just appear Footer 1). How can I add the sidebar widget in the customize?

    In that widget page I can see the following message:

    Your theme has 4 widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.

You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.

    In Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > General > Layout I have already selected ‘Sidebar Left’ option, as you can see in the webpage (https://byvina.es/shop/)

    Have you also enabled the sidebar option from your Customize > Blog > Blog Archive > Blog Layout? Please confirm.

    Thanks for your answer.

    I hadn’t enabled it, I did it now but nothing changed. I think the shop page is not the same that blog layout, so it doesn’t affect, right? I don’t know.

    Thank you for getting back with your confirmation.

    Firstly, enable sidebar layout from Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > General > Layout.

    You’ll have active widgets in Sidebar (under Appearance > Widgets) be shown. To display only specific widgets for shop pages, you can add widget’s visibility option by enabling an additional plugin for this, that you can get from plugins directory search.
