Add sideband to Unit page?

  • My site uses Impreza / WPBakery and I have a menu setup for shopping amazon. I am able to add it to the Impreza Page Blocks that are used in the Impreza Content Templates. When I edit a normal page there is a sideband with “Page Layout” with Header, Content Template and Footer. The Header/Footer are setup typically with “As in Theme Options” but the content template matches a Impreza Content Template. That template has the sideband on the left and contents to the right.

    What I don’t see is a way to add my side bands setup as Impreza Page Blocks to these unit pages. My Appearance Widgets Default Sideband is blank but not sure if I could set that up for those unit pages? Is there a way to do it?

    I don’t fully understand your problem. Some screenshots would be helpful.

    And I’m not familiar with the theme you mentioned. Does it support adding custom post type posts to a menu?

    It’s at https://themeforest.net/item/impreza-retina-responsive-wordpress-theme/6434280 and basically uses WPBakery.

    I was hoping to add to the created unit and instead of having to manually create a page and then use the auto links short code.

    What are your custom post types, maybe there is an option somewhere?

    Ask the support for that theme whether you can add custom post type posts to the menu you are talking about.

    This plugin’s post type slug for units is auto_amazon_links by default. You might want to test whether the default value works if you have changed it to something else (Dashboard -> Auto Amazon Links -> Settings -> General Unit Preview).

    Can I add something from Appearance -> Menus to the unit pages that are created? The menu points to the various unit pages, so I’d like each unit page to point to the other unit pages for different categories of products that can easily change from?

    At the top right corner, open the Screen Option panel and check Auto Amazon Links.

    I don’t understand what you are trying to do. It sounds like outside the scope of this plugin.

    Ask the theme developer about it, especially whether you can do that on custom post type posts.
