I’m very new to WordPress with no background in coding and minimal html experience. I’m trying to set up a basic blog using Tiny Forge. I like the computer version. However, on my iPad, the side bar drops to the bottom. Can the side bar be reinstated as a “side” bar on the mobile version? I don’t have a smart phone so not sure what happens there.

(I’m stilling working offline so no link to site yet.)

Also, is there a way to search just the Tiny Forge forum?

Sidebar drops below to make more room for the content. Visitors usually come to the site to read content, so it is given prime spot. All secondary stuff, like sidebar, etc. should not interfere with the reading on smaller devices. Same on smartphones. Theme adjust to the width of device, turn your iPad in landscape mode and you should see the sidebar.

You might change this behavior by editing media queries in style.css of a child theme or override them with the rules pasted to custom css plugin.

Unfortunately there is no ability to search just in Tiny Forge section ??

Thanks, Tomas. Curiously, I do not see the side bar in landscape mode on the iPad.

Your second paragraph might as well be in Chinese since I have no comprehension of what you are talking about. Not your fault. Just an indication of my level of ignorance. Any suggestions on next steps or tutorials? Should I be learning css? Buying a plug-in? Or do I just need to hire a developer? ??

I would say in your case developer would be easiest, because it is very easy to fix for someone who works in this area.
