Add “Read More” in Content

    Hi,

    I’m using the plugin, & till now I have added only one product so Product Table look like this…https://prnt.sc/o90pfp

    Here, I have used “Title” “Content” & “Button” but what i need is, “Read More” text (not button) with product page link just after the end on of content i.e. on the same line … https://prnt.sc/o90rns

    Hi Shridsan,

    Below I have listed some possible ways to provide a link to the product page. While I understand you want “product page link just after the end on of content i.e. on the same line” and suggestions 1 and 2 do not cover this requirement 100%. However, they are part of the Lite version so I am including them here as well.

    1. You can create another button with ‘Read more’ as the label and its link set to open the product page.

    2. You can use the ‘Product Link’ element to create a link to the product page and set the label as ‘Read more’.

    3. You can enter the text ‘Read more’ in each product short description and link it to the product page. Then use the Excerpt element to print the short description along with the link.

    4. Best solution: WCPT PRO v2.0.0 is getting a feature to show ‘Read more…’ or any other text with a product page link at the end of the excerpt (same line). v2.0.0 of the PRO version will be released in another few days with this and other facilities.

    I hope one of the above methods fits your requirement well!

    Suggestions are really helpful, i got what i need except

    The only thing remain is “Read More” is in next line, can we make it continue to text.

    if you are using option 1 or 2 you cannot make the link appear in the same line. I mentioned this in my previous message above. 1 and 2 are not perfect solutions, but since they are part of the Lite version and therefore free, I included them as well.

    Regarding your confusion over option 3 in my previous message:

    Please see the list of elements available in the Columns, you will find an element called ‘Excerpt’. Currently you are using the ‘Content’ element. You can use this ‘Excerpt’ element instead. This will print out the ‘Short Description’ you have entered in your WooCommerce product settings.

    If you are using the ‘Excerpt’ element in your table, and it is displaying the ‘Short Description’ of your product then at the end of that short description you can enter Read More and create a link to the product page.

    However, this will also show that ‘Read more’ link everywhere else on your site where the product except is displayed. This might end up displaying 2 links. If you are only showing the excerpt / short description in the table and no where else on your site then it does not matter.

    Other than that, WCPT PRO will have the best solution for this in v2.0.0 as explained in option 4 above.
