Add podcast to feeds on date_recorded field

When you create a new episode, you can actually schedule it to publish at a later date. This will keep the episode from appearing in the feed and going “live” until you want it to.

My particular situation is that I want to offer my premium followers the new episodes some time ahead of being published broadly, but I don’t want that those episodes are shown in the podcast platforms until de date_recorded date. Therefore the episodes should be published on the site but not added to the feed.

Is there any way to do it?

Thanks for clarifying your use case here. Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to achieve this at this time, outside of diving in and customizing the plugin itself.

Maybe as a “First Look” ?? feature where premium members of a site can listen to the latest episodes before the general release of the episode.
