• I would like to add a PayPal button to the entry form for our art show to make it easy for entrants to pay their fees. The fee/rate per piece is variable, depending on their membership status & whether they’re adult or youth entrants (i.e. different “classes” of entrants pay different rates). The total amount due is the fee/rate per piece multiplied by the number of pieces. Currently, I bill separately via PayPal after they submit the information, which works, but I would love to make it more streamlined so the entrants could pay immediately. I tried editing the entry form to add a PayPal button, but it never asked for the necessary keys like the Forminator documentation said it would, & I could never get any functionality like what I want. Is there a way to add PayPal button functionality with a variable fee & calculated total? I really don’t want to have to start over with the form, especially if I had to try to find another plugin. Like I said, my current method works, so if this is not possible, I can just keep doing what I’ve been doing. But if it is possible, I’d love to know how to do it. Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @l9fum

    Hope you’re doing well today!

I am afraid the payment fields cannot be added to the repeater directly.
Please refer to the documentation here which will show the fields supported inside a field group: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#adding-fields-to-a-field-group

However, we can try calculating the “Final” amount that will be charged using the calculation field – but for this, since the amount will be variable.

The fee/rate per piece is variable, depending on their membership status & whether they’re adult or youth entrants (i.e. different “classes” of entrants pay different rates). The total amount due is the fee/rate per piece multiplied by the number of pieces.

Since you mention the prices will be variable – based on your form can you please confirm each repeater field will have a fixed price or if that will be derived with the help of the fields involved like “Division, Artwork type etc.”

Could you please share an example along with the form export so that we can take a closer look to see if it is possible to achieve this?

    To share the form export
    – Navigate to the “Forminator -> Forms” page in your site’s back-end
    – click on a little “gear” icon next to the form in question
    – select “Export” option
    – copy given export code and paste it at?https://pastebin.com
    – include link to that paste in your response below.

Note: this export will not include any data that is already submitted – they’ll stay safely on your site and we don’t need them anyway.

I tried editing the entry form to add a PayPal button, but it never asked for the necessary keys like the Forminator documentation said it would, & I could never get any functionality like what I want.

When you add a PayPal field in Forminator – it would be added to the form however, it would not function until configured and would show the notice as in the screenshot here: https://monosnap.com/file/FidzZltcHDitqHFKd0LD1LgtbMPMBP

Can you please confirm if you are seeing the notice as in the screenshot I shared above? If not, we can review the form export you shared with us and then check about the PayPal button that you are referring to.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh
