Add order information into initial quote email

  • Hi,

    Can I update the initial quote email to include the order details?

    I have tried “copying file to theme” and updating the php however, it didn’t send any additional information in the email.

    I need to add contact details and order details; basically, need the same information which is in the “new order” email.

    Can you help with this?

    Hi @chantelleb,

    Can you please let me know the below:

    1. Please check & let me know if you see the plugin template or your custom template when you click on WooCommerce->Settings->Emails->Request for New Quote->View Template

    2. Can you share the path to your custom email template starting with your theme folder?

    Hi Pinal,

    I reverted back to the plugin template because when I update it, no email comes through. However, when I do make a custom template the following is true:

    1. I see the custom template

    2. Child theme -> functions.php -> quotes-for-wc -> emails -> request-new-quote.php

    Sorry, the path is: marshall-pine-divi-child-theme/quotes-for-wc/emails/request-new-quote.php , no functions.php.

    Hi Chantelle,

    It’s strange that the custom template is not being used even when it’s present in the child theme folder at the correct destination.

    I tried creating a child theme and was able to successfully create and email a custom template for request-new-quote.php.
    ../wp-content/themes/storefront-child/quotes-for-wc/emails/request-new-quote.php

    Can you please try by copying the custom template in your original theme folder and activating the same and see if the custom template is sent.
