• I want to add a completely new user, but when I select that menu option, the Add Existing User form is served. My login is set to admin and my colleagues login is set to admin but her login returns the add new user form (that I want!) and mine does not. I am not a developer, but something seems askew here. I am on a Mac but so is she).

    Can anyone help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Do you have WordPress setup as a network? Is one of you the admin and ond the Super-Network-Admin?
There is an option in the Network-Admin to let Administrators add Users directly without Super-Admin rights.
