• Every time that ‘add new’ link is clicked, the server spawns a new php thread /public_html/wp-admin/post-new.php which runs for a *considerable* amount of time and cpu processing power. If you click that link multiple times without waiting for it to finish, it takes even longer because now it’s taking the available CPU time and dividing it by the number of times you had clicked it!

    When I logged in, I found no less than 14 of these threads all active, competing for CPU time on your server. After killing them all I tried one more time, and after about 10 seconds, it loaded, but that was because I had already cleared the overload condition. Why don’t these threads stop? Why dont they execute properly?

    What is causing this problem? Is it a bug in WordPress? Is there any fix so this won’y happen again? Is the template or database at fault?
