Add new page or new post, comes up blank

    Hi everyone

    This is very strange. I have been building a new website on a “test” site using my own personal domain name, and I’m now ready to start moving the website to the domain name where it will be “Live.” So – I downloaded a “Backup” plugin program that was recommended by WPBeginner called “Duplicator” and installed it on the site I have been using to test. (See link to site) but I decided I was going to add two more pages to it before I actually do the “Cloning” and move it to the domain it will be Live under.

    Now, when I went to add a new page – the page comes up COMPLETELY blank! So I tried adding a new post instead – Nothing! So, I deactivated the plugin. Still nothing – both the Add New Page and the Add New Post come up blank – there is absolutely NOTHING shown on the screen. So I tried completely deleting the “Duplicator” plugin, and it STILL comes up blank! Can Anyone help me with this issue?

  • Correction! Although Classic Editor brought up a screen, I could only enter a Title and nothing else.

    Switching off all plugins didn’t work, but changing themes did! Turns out the Revenue theme is suddenly broken for entering new posts. It still seems to work for everything else.

    Another note: turning on WP_DEBUG didn’t help with this. Or writing errors to debug.log.

    Trial:
    error log in root and WP root
    Browser Cache
    other Browser
    clear cache of WordPress (perhaps WP Super Cash Plugin to clear his cache)
    Database integrity

    Hello Everyone !
    I’m also getting the same problem , when i try to add new with elementor it appears with fully white screen.

    Is there anybody who can help me to fix this problem. Please suggest me properly what to do ?

    @sushilkumaarrr I ran into the same problem and decided to try creating a new page/post using firefox instead of chrome where i was running into this exact same issue within my freshly installed wp & divi theme and like magic! no issues ever since.

    Everyone — you may have “the same problem” but usually, the answers are not the same. Please start new topics when you have an issue rather than jumping on an existing one.

    If you need support then per the forum guidelines please start your own topic.

    A lot more people will see your post, and that way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.
