When I installed a subfolder version of multisite onto my wordpress, ‘add new plugin’ option disappeared both on the horizontal and the vertical bar where it usually is.

Haven’t the slightest idea what could have gone wrong. I guess I’ll frantically run a few tests to narrow down where the issue is, like reinstall a version from before the site went multi, from backupbuddy on another domain. But for the most part I’m completely clueless.

One mu plugin I was trying to add to the new multisite doesn’t work and can’t be seen. Another plugin was uploaded via ftp successfully, so that’s how it is for now…

More oddly, the screen where the plugins are at, still shows the ‘Activate’ link but the ‘Edit’ and ‘Delete’ links have disappeared.

Only thing I can think of, is when I built the new htaccess folder, I was doubting whether to erase the BEGIN WORDPRESS END WORDPRESS signs, and opted to not erase them.

    Nvm guys.

I restarted the browser and it’s back to normal…

This is a complete surprise to me as in my mind until now I thought caché could only bring the browser to the past, not suspend a browser in an intermediary state of weird fourth dimension existence.

Though solved, I would like to know why this happened to me, so I can learn a bit about browser things. I’ll leave it unsolved for a couple of days in case anyone chimes in but i’ll mark it solved soon either way.

Caching is caching. IE, Firefox and Chrome are all really … sticky.
