    Hi

I am adding a new field to an existing post type. But it is not displayed in the post.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
    I have wordpress 5.7.1 and pods 2.7.27.

    Thanks for tips.

    Regards Daniel

    `Hi @keraweb

Thanks for your answer. But I couldn’t see the solution of the problem in the video.

I have an existing post type created with pods and a few fields like “mainimage”, “description” and “url”. These work fine so far.

But now a new field is added, “location” for example. I can add the field in pod, but the field doesn’t show in the post.

Now I tested a few things and when I switched from the “Hello”-Child-Theme to the original “Hello?-Theme, the pods field worked correctly. So the Child-Theme must be the problem. Where exactly the bug is in the Child-Theme, I don’t know either. Maybe someone knows.

    Regards, Daniel

    Hi @dani31bu

If you only have this issue on a single theme and not on other themes then it’s most likely a theme conflict. What the problem might be is very hard to say since child themes are always custom code.
Also, what field type did you add? And how are you trying to display it?

    Cheers, Jory

I tried it with few different field, including a simple Text field. Only the existing fileds are visible in the post. All new ones added are not displayed.

After changed from Hello-Child-Theme to Hello-Theme are the insert fields showing.

I will test this with another Child-Theme.
