Add new CPT to existing CPTs via import

Hi,

I previously created a CPT on a client’s website that works perfectly fine. They subsequently requested additional work and I cloned the live site to a development stage and created a new CPT in addition to the already existing one.

If I now want to transfer this new CPT from the dev site to the live site, can I simply copy the code from the import/export section to the live site without breaking the existing CPT on the live site? Note that no changes were made to the existing CPT on the dev site, the new CPT was just added.
