Add more button to static pages

I have created web site which has many static pages. am new wordpress user and have searched fourms etc for answers. using theme atahualpa353 and would like to do the following,

(a) create sub pages
(b) On main pages(of which there are about 12 I would like to split the page, insert the info so that users can the headings and click for more info.

I dont know the correct terms yet to describe the sections but I hope that you understand.
