Add Meta Data Issue With Facebook
-
George, I sent this to you in email, but figured it probably would be best to post here as well.
Since the last update to the plugin, Facebook is having issues getting my post to come over. I think there might be two issues here. One with a server issue, possibly, but one with your plugin.
If you use my site, https://www.thetwelfthstep.com in the debugger tool for Facebook, I get the following errors:
og:image could not be downloaded or is too small og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ‘https://thetwelfthstep.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/For-New-Blog4-1024×315.jpg’ will be used instead.
Parser Mismatched Metadata The parser’s result for this metadata did not match the input metadata. Likely, this was caused by the data being ordered in an unexpected way, multiple values being given for a property only expecting a single value, or property values for a given property being mismatched. Here are the input properties that were not seen in the parsed result: ‘fb:admins’
To find the object, these are the redirects we had to follow
original https://www.thetwelfthstep.com/
301 https://thetwelfthstep.com/
The following will be treated as a redirect by the crawler:
A HTTP redirect
A <link rel=”canonical” href=”..” /> tag
A <meta property=”og:url” content=”..” /> tag
The final URL, which we tried to extract metadata from is highlighted in boldAlso, I went back and did an existing scrape on my posting from the previous night that was successful and saw that it had the following issue:
Inferred Property The ‘og:url’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Any new scrapes at the present moment on any links on my site are not giving me the following:
Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.
So I’m not sure if something bigger is going on tonight or not, but if you get a chance to look into this that would be great… I haven’t changed anything in quite a while on any of my blog other than adding new postings…
Sincerely,
Andrew
