Add menu access keys manually

    Hello,

    I want to add the functionalilty of access keys to my menu and sub-menu items, is there a way to do it by adding scripts to the theme files, and if so, where and how?

    I searched for plugins, but all of them are outdated.
    I really need to do this, I’m trying to make my website compatible with WCAG 2.0
