Add “Meets Outside” Type

This idea has been bounced around but hasn’t got a lot of traction. The two best solutions today are to create a custom type (which won’t go into Meeting Guide) or to just use the notes.

I’ll save you from having to read my brilliant opinions ?? about meeting types but suffice to say I’m hoping to move TC out of the meeting types and into some sort of status or closure field. It may be possible to add something like “Outside” as the alternate meeting location at that time, but so far we’ve got higher priorities, which I’m hoping to get back focusing on later this week.

If you feel strongly about this, I suggest coming over the dev site and opening a new feature request.

I get it about priorities. As a work around, I’ve indicated the meeting is outside the facility and have a link to quickly find these meetings with this string: /meetings/?tsml-day=any&tsml-query=outside

As long as the word “outside” is mentioned somewhere on the meeting page, the meeting will be included in the results.

Brilliant – thanks @theviv! I was concerned about how to list just the reopened meetings; I’ve added keywords for “reopened”, “hybrid”, and “outdoor” to the meeting information text boxes where appropriate. Then I added buttons in Meetings page top widget with the search links for desired terms so users can run the searches. I love it – thanks!!!
