‘Add Media’ No Longer Showing Gallery Images (v3.5)

    I updated our beta test site from v3.41 to v3.50 this morning and found that, under Classic Editor, when you go to the ‘Add Media’ button while making a new post and then select to see ‘Nextgen Gallery’ under the left hand actions pane, none of the preview images now show – you only get the alt text. This obviously makes added feature images from my galleries extremely difficult, and I have reverted to v3.4.

    UPDATE: Looking at the source of the image thumbnails, I note that the SRC=”” line is now blank on the images, it’s just empty output.

    Hi @ispreview,

    Thanks for the heads-up. We could replicate the problem with the preview thumbnails not being displayed while trying to add NextGen Gallery images from Classic Editor’s “Add media” option. Our dev team will inspect it.

    probably same or related issue…

    upload of image is possible…
    manage galleries is showing galleries and I can see the pictures…
    but clicking select 50, 100, 200 or all doesn’t work, all pics are not shown…
    just clicking on the “<” or “>” for next page leads to the next page of pics…

    Hey @designguide,

    This looks like a different known problem related with a conflict between NGG 3.50 and Imagify.

    Our developers will reach out Imagify to share the fix but in the meantime, we suggest downgrading to NGG 3.41 that can be downloaded from here.

    We are happy to inform you that the problem with NGG preview images not displaying in Classic Editor>>Add media was resolved in the latest version of NextGen Gallery.

    Could you please let us know if updating to NextGen Gallery 3.54 has solved your reported problem too?

    Hi, I have this same issue. V3.54 doesn’t fix it for me. Downgrading to 3.41 does resolve the issue for me. Thankfully i have only one set of pages that still use the classical editor so not a huge problem.

    yes, this minor problem is gone…
    BUT:
    As stated in WordPress Support and on Pro Support, the sizes of thumbnails are not correct anymore… and the links (show slideshow) or (show thumbnails ) are visible… turning back to 3.41 from 3.55 didn’t help…
    ching PHP versions (7.4 or 8.0) didn’t help…
