Add Media Button Not Working

  • Not sure if it’s a glitch with the new WP version but my “add media” button has not been working since I installed WP 4.0. When I press it, nothing happens.

    Anyone else experiencing these issues?

  • Yes. Same issue with me, updated to 4.0 and add media won’t work. Looks like a bug? Were you able to solve it?

    Clear cache and close all instances of the browser and try again.

    Most likely, you have some plugin interfering with it.

    1. Deactivate your plugins.
    2. Reload the media page and confirm that the button works.
    3. Reactivate your plugins one at a time, and repeat the check each time until it breaks again.
    4. Post which plugin broke it for you here, so that we can add it to the master list.

    So I resolved the problem. I had about 20 plugins that needed to be updated. Once I updated all the media button started working again. Not sure exactly which plugin caused the problem.

    I cleared cache too
