Add Media button no longer works

  • I usually highlight some text then click “Add Media” to upload the pertinent file. Nothing occurs when clicking this button since installing version 4.0. Please advise.

  • I have the same problem, seems to be only occurring after the last update.

    ah so I just got mine working by disabling all my plugins. Now to turn them back on till I find which one did it.

    I have deactivated all of my plugins, tried it in several different browsers and still no avail. Deleted deactivated plug-ins too and and still cannot get anything to work. Please help…

    for me it turned out to be an issue with a google maps plugin that was installed. I deactivated it and everything works, so I replaced it with another plugin and all works.

    As you have already tried deactivating plugins perhaps you could check your widgets too. Also have you tried using a different theme to see if you still have the same issue?

    Someone else on another thread also suggests clearing the cache in Dashboard if you have caching on.
