Add Media button in post interface won't work

  • The Add Media button stopped working when I updated to WP 4.2.

    I have deactivated my custom theme and all plugins and I still can’t get it to work.

    I have also tried it on different browsers and computers.

    Can anybody please help me? What else is there to try?

    Hi,

    When you say it doesn’t work, what does actually happen if you click the button?

    Also are you able to check if there’s any JavaScript errors on the page, this can be done by opening your Web Developer tools (these are bundled with all major browsers these days, and can usually be opened by hitting the F12 button), there should be a tab labeled “Console” where you can see any JavaScript errors (you may need to reload the page with the tool window open for them to be registered though).

    I’m also having the problem of my Add Media Button not working when I’m writing a post. Nor is my Add Feature Image feature working.

    Any help with this issue?
