Add media button doing nothing

  • I have a problem in adding media to both posts and pages. When i click on Add media button i just get the refresh of the page, no popup will open.
    I’ve tryed to disable my plugins (except wpml and the booking engine, which are essential to my site) but the problem remains. I’ve also tryed to change theme for a while, with no success.
    I’m also running another site from the same pc with the same browser and i had no problems…
    I’ve also tried to reinstall WP

    i’ve noticed that i have the same problem with “Screen options” and “Help” sections on top: nothing happens…

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    I’ve tryed all but the last two. You think it could work?
    my plugins are: all in one seo pack, newstatspress, wpml, qns (quite nice booking), fullscreen galleria, Autonav Image Table Based Site Navigation, CodeStyling Localization, vanilla pdf embed
    The only difference with my other site are: wpml, qns and vanilla pdf embed

    I’m experiencing the same insanity. I added a png file and after that I cannot get it to switch to text view or to add media. I’ve closed out the browser, switched browsers and get the same result which is nothing.

    Hackworth, please start up your own thread as your issue may not be related to the OP.

    Deactivate all of your plugins and try again. Didnt work? Switch your theme as well, try again.
