Add media button does nothing. Any help, please?

  • When I use the Add Media button, it seems to work fine, except that when I’m returned to my post after selecting an image from the library, nothing has happened. No picture appears.

    I updated to 4.0 recently. I’ve now switched to the 2014 theme and disabled all plugins. Uploading works fine, the new grid view looks great, but the add media button just doesn’t do anything. Likewise if I drag a picture from my computer to the editor window, which does upload the picture, but doesn’t insert it into the post.

    The only way I’ve found to post a picture is to go to the text editor and enter the html.

    Default theme. No plugins. Any ideas what else I can try?

  • can you try from another browser/computer/clear cache? There are some js things happening there and if they are cached they might break things(cached since you had the plugins on)

    Thanks! It seems to work fine in a different browser.

    Any idea what I can do to Chrome to get it working? Beyond clearing my cache, which I’ve done.
