add maxbutton to menu

Hi, I’m filling in for Bas who is away. I found this information that should allow you to add a button to a menu:

To add a MaxButton to the WordPress menu, you can: 

1. Click the MaxButtons page from the admin menu
2. Click the Add New button
3. Create and customize your button using the button editor
4. Fill out and select the options needed to build your button
5. Once you’re ready, click Save 
6. Add the menu item you want to become a button
7. From the WordPress admin panel, go to Appearance > Menus or Customize > Menus
8. If you have more than one menu, select the one you want to edit from the list

Thanks. i got lost at number 6. I want to put the donate button onto the menu. how do i do that?

I see what you mean. Since I have not been able to find any other instructions to do this, then it is probably not possible to add a button to the menu. You can only make a menu item in the menu look like a button by assigning a class to the menu item and then adding custom CSS code to make the menu item look like a button.
