Add Local Avatars Bug?

I installed this plugin, and while it looks beautiful, I’m getting a strange bug when it’s active. If anyone tries to post (either a post or page, actually), soon as they hit the publish button, they get a 500 (Internal Server) error. BUT, at the same time, their post still gets processed.

Anyone have a way to fix this?
