    hey there,

i’ve been trying to get this to work to no avail.
i’ve setup your plugin, and it seems to be working perfectly whereby any user can add images and vids to activity stream. BUT the only problem i am currently facing is for “non-administrator” users, they simply are unable to add links.
The links show in preview, but upon clicking on add link nothing happens. I tracked this via code and it seems that the add activity is failing for non admins specifically for this type of post/ adding links. The JSON response is basically sending back an id “false” and empty activity

I tried switching themes still not working.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Any ideas?

Feedback by Toby helped me fix the issue. I increased the number of links to 6 and this is now working.

    “Hi there,

I think the problem might be as in the other thread I’ve just updated. Buddypress have fixed a bug in the core moderation function which means that unless you’ve upped the default number of links, activity updates containing 2 or more links are not added to the activity stream and no error message is given.

By default, links using a thumbnail, videos, or documents will have at least 2 links. This is why clicking ‘no thumbnail’ makes it work again.

Try upping the number of links allowed in Admin > Settings > Discussion. Please note that this number is >= (i.e. if you want to allow 3 links, set the number to 4 etc.)”

    Thanks!!
I was looking for the solution since morning and this solution worked like a charm Thank you so much ?? ??

    Thank you!!!! Worked perfectly!!

Thank you fixed for me as well. Hope there is is something built into the plugin for this
