Add Link Box is Blank. Also Can’t Add Categories

  • If I add a link the add/insert link box is blank. If I click the x it just sticks to the cursor and I have close the window. I had the same thing happen intermittently when I added images too.

    Also I can’t create categories. I create one, hit the add category button and it disappears, nothing is created.

  • I looked into my database like poigle suggested, but it was correct already.

    I have contacted my host (mediatemple) for help, they are normally great help, so I’ll let you know how it goes.

    I’ve also got this problem, in both Firefox and Safari; however, Safari gives me errors for tinyMCE so I’m going to try an earlier version as suggested in an earlier post above. I can add links via the Code view, too in both browsers which really points to tinyMCE being a problem.

    It’s not problems with the server. I think it has something to do with individual computers. Everything works fine on my sever/computer….but my writer has the same problem as listed above with posting pictures and links. I wish they would figure this bug out. We have the latest WP version.

    I just heard back from my host, they told me that mod_security is not set up on my server.

    I concur with marlowjust, because it sometimes works for me on my computer, and on other computers it seems to work fine. Also, it works fine in IE7, so why wouldn’t it work in FF?

    I just installed 2.5 and had the problem of nothing in insert/edit text box, nor in the insert/edit image box in either FF or IE. Another blog, on same server and same computer did not have the problem, if that tells anybody anything.

    Fixed it perfectly by installing TinyMCE-advanced plugin. Got some other nice features with it as well.
