append instead override tags

Would it be possible in the future release of the plugin to set the default behaviour of “replace” of tags (hashtagger.php, line 38) to “append”? It would make sense to enable user/editor to add tags using hashtag as well as right hand side admin panel, at least on the websites I come across.
