Add info to Header Based on content of Post/Page with a plugin?

  • My plugin parses the content of a page/post and replaces a theme code with an image gallery. I want to add in an RSS feed link into the header of the page, but only if a gallery theme code is detected in the post/page. So I need to have the loop occur to determine if a gallery will be appearing on that page.

    Is there any way at this point in the WordPress page creation (during the loop) to then have the RSS link added to the headers if I detect an instance of a gallery?
