    @marcoliverkaiser This is a good point and it brings up some interesting avenues for development.

    All sizing is set in the style sheet. I can add a new set of parameters to enable it’s inherent width and height as parameters in each <img> element. Because these images are external, they are subject to change without notice and collecting this information each time a page loads is not always the best method either… Once the relevant style sheet has loaded, the size of image enclosures are known by the browser and any jumping of content will be avoided.

    If you want to improve the actual speed, I recommend not loading any avatars or setting these to all be the same image using the parameter, here’s an example: [reviews_rating avatar="/wp-content/uploads/avatar.svg"]

    Anyway, this is not as straight-forward as it may seem.

    Do you have an article that I can reference for this as a standard – or perhaps the Google Speed test information?
