• Good Day,

I would like to add a placeholder to my posts for image links. I know how to add image links. What I’m wanting to do change the image link on several post simultaneously. In other words, a widget or plugin that will allow me to change the image periodically.

To explain further, the image links are advertising products and I would like to change the ad in one place and have it populate to all posts.

This page has an example image link for breast cancer T-shirts halfway down the page. I have that ad on several pages and would like some way to change those ads in one place without revisiting every post.

Thanks for any help you may provide.

What would be better than updating content in multiple pages is to have those pages get the image source from a common place from the start so their content remains the same, only the information at the source changes.

A crude example would be to have them all use a common image file name whose image changes periodically, but its URL is always the same. Uploading new images to the media library could not accomplish this, but you could upload new images via FTP, replacing the previous image with the same filename.

A nicer example would utilize a custom shortcode which displays the ad in content. The shortcode handler can get the desired image from an option setting which could be updated through the customizer.

The latter would require some custom coding, but the former only requires that you use FTP to upload new images.
