Add GTM tag to analytics?

    Hi,
    is there a way to integrate GTM with AMP analytics? I tried to add the tag to the json and also tried to add the full AMP tracking code directly to header.php, both methods returned an error.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

  • When setting up a container within Tag Manager you can select an AMP container, while then selecting the Analytics tag and publishing.

    To implement the various snippets onto your site you can insert them into your theme files directly if using transitional or standard mode. If using reader mode you’ll need to implement via the reader mode templates or using your themes functions.php file or a custom plugin.

    An easier approach may be to use the Site Kit plugin, meaning you can easily assign your containers for both AMP and non AMP URLs in just a few clicks.
