We sell more than 12,000 products in our webshop.
However, we have never added EAN numbers in Woocommerce.
When we place a new product we have the plugin ‘Google for Woocommerce’

We can add a GTIN/EAN number to this.
Now I read that the products will have little to no influence on the organic positions.
However, we use Google Ads to show our products in Google shopping.
I assume it is useful to add EAN numbers?
How much impact will this have.
Looking up and adding EAN numbers to 12,000 products is quite a task.

    Hi @0108daniel

Adding EAN numbers to your product listings can indeed be beneficial, especially if you’re using Google Ads for Google Shopping. EAN numbers are used by Google to match your product with searches and to categorize it correctly, which can enhance your product visibility and potentially increase your click-through rates.

However, the impact can vary depending on the nature of your products and the competition in your market. It’s worth noting that EAN numbers are just one of many factors that Google uses to determine product relevance.

Furthermore, since this forum is dedicated to support related to the WooCommerce core plugin, I’d suggest posting in the Google for Woocommerce dedicated support forum for further help with this.

I hope this provides some clarity. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
