Add GoDaddy Tip to wp-config.php?
-
There’s a number of posts that indicate that installing WordPress at GoDaddy.com requires one extra step. It seems we fall into the 1% of people who need to modify their ‘localhost’ to something else. I’ve commented about my success, as have many others:

“
If you’re installing at GoDaddy, you’ll need to change ‘localhost’ to your hostname, it’ll look something like mysql23.secureserver.net. Failure to make this change might result in an error like ‘Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_bloginfo() in…’
“That aside, I’m hugely impressed with WordPress – many thanks for producing such an excellent piece of software. I was up and running minutes later (after a minute of searching here – this has been one of the easiest debugging steps I’ve had to go through!).
Cheers!
Ian.
