Playing with this plugin a little bit, and really impressed with its flexibility and functionality so far.

I was wondering, though, how I might go about adding Genericons as a second tab in the “Menu Icon” area. The Genericons offer a number of great icons that aren’t available as part of the DashIcons set, and I’d love to make them available to my menu managers, as well.

Looking at the source of the plugin, it appears that I can potentially filter the tabs shown in the Menu Icons area, but I was wondering if there’s any documentation explaining what I should do with that filter and how I need to write the various callbacks that are involved. Thanks.

    Hi Curtiss,

The tab filter was only just added a few days ago, there’s isn’t any documentation for any of the filters yet (it’s on my list). It would be quite an involved process, involving a few filters and a new SCSS file to add a new icon set.

I am planning on writing some small extensions (paid for), so if you’d like to help me test a Genericons extension I will put one together and send it to you – if you’re interested please get in touch through https://www.maxmegamenu.com/support.

    Regards,
    Tom
