That big image is Custom Header image, upload one with dimension 885×252.
Appearance > Header

The intro text is Site Description.
Settings > General > Tagline

Hi, yes I’m getting the image done now for me, i just through a base one up.

I just added the words “Testing tagline” in Settings > General > Tagline. However it doesn’t come up like the full screen area part on https://lmcniff.wordpress.com/

Any other ideas.?

Ok thats weird, what internet provider are you using, i just tested it on firefox and internet explorer and its working.

So the tagline will appear only on blog home page.

If you want the front page of your site to look like the one you linked to, you have to NOT set the front page display to any page, keep it as default setting.

Settings > General > Reading
Front page displays = Your latest posts.
