Add footer?

    I really love this theme, and would like to use it, but I’d really like a place to show recent post etc without having to open another menu. Is there a simple way to add a footer?

    I’m new to wordpress, so this may be a simple question I just don’t know the answer to!

    I would love to see an answer to this, I want to do the same thing.

    There is a way to add a byline to the footer, but there is no widget area for the footer.
