Add Fancy Facebook to Nextgen galleries

    Hi,

    I would like facebook comments on a gallery level. I have installed the Fancy Facebook Comments plugin and I like it very much. There is only one problem: the plugin cannot differentiate between galleries. So under every gallery, it’s showing ALL comments, made on ALL galleries. It’s comments on page-level, not on gallery-level.

    I have contacted the creators of the Fancy Facebook Comments plugin, and they told me this:

    You can use following code in the PHP template with url attribute in the shortcode:

    <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[Fancy_Facebook_Comments url=”CUSTOM_URL”]’) ?>

    Replace CUSTOM_URL in the shortcode with the individual url of the gallery.

    Can anybody tell me where exactly I have to embed this code? I have basic HTML/php knowledge and know how to access my FTP, but I don’t know which file, which line and which variable to use as “custom_URL”.

    Also, I am open to suggestions for other plugins that can achieve what I want. It has to be facebook comments, not regular comments. And it has to be at least at gallery level (nextgen recommends a facebook comment plugin, but it only has commenting on image-level, not gallery level). I also really like the Fance Facebook Comment plugin because I don’t need a facebook app-id for it.

    @dennisclaesfotografie – Although it was very nice of that plugin author to offer you the code snippet I would suggest going back to them and asking how to apply it.

    My first thoughts would be to your theme template(s) although they know they code better than I would.
