Add exception for specific page (privacy policy)

    I used this plugin on a customer site with success. However we display also a provacy policy banner that explains the cookie policy. The user cannot open the prvacy policy before confirming the age, which then writes the cookie to hic computer. To be GDPR compliant the site needs to allow to read the privacy/cookie policy BEFORE confirming the age to be able to know what cookies are used and what for.
    Is there a way to add an exception to the age gate to allow a specific page as an exception?

    Hi @osiak,

    You can bypass individual pages from being Age Gated, you can do this in the edit mode of a given page.

    There’s also a few filters that you can use to stop the cookies being set, if you should show the challenge at all etc.

    For GDPR though, if you are required to check ages that would make it a necessary cookie that you probably don’t need to get permission for. Additionally, age gate itself doesn’t store anything that’s personally identifiable – but that doesn’t mean other things don’t.
