Add Event as Sidebar Widget in Elementor

    I’m trying to use Elementor to show the latest Events using the Posts Element in a template widget for the WordPress sidebar. This works fine for normal Posts and also if I manually select an Event to display in the Posts Element settings, but it leaves a blank space if I select Post Type equals Events.

    I’ve used the same Elementor Posts Element to display the latest Events on the home page without a problem, showing one Event for each Event Category. But in the sidebar this doesn’t seem to load.

    The reason I’m using Elementor for this is because I want to show the featured image of the Events which I don’t think is possible with the free version of TEC. I’d love to show the Event date too but again I don’t think this meta data is available to Elementor.

    Any ideas?
